What can you cook in an Airfryer?

There are so many foods you can cook in an airfryer.Like many people, I’m a hardcore lover of fried foods. Whether it is French fries, crispy chicken or deep-fried prawns, fried foods are my one true weakness when I’m dieting. Ideally, it would be a dream come true if I was to limitlessly consume these foods without piling on the pounds but sadly I have to exercise like a maniac in order balance the calories being taken in and burned.

As much as I love fried foods, I don’t usually have too much at home. This is not only due to attempting to control myself at home but also because of the little explosions of oil that occur during the frying process.

I’ve always been on the lookout for a possible solution to prevent this possible cause of blistering and I couldn’t believe it when a friend told me about the rise of airfryers and how they will use air to fry foods. I mean how could a machine use to fry food? It seems ludicrous but thankfully, it’s an appliance that does exactly what it’s supposed to.

As you can probably guess, I was highly unconvinced at first but when I tasted food fried in my friend’s airfryer, I finally realized what I had been missing. It was pretty much the same as deep-fried food but without the huge number of calories and an enormous amount of saturated fats. This kind of forced me to look a bit more into the technology and buy my own because it would mean that I could enjoy my favorite food at home without feeling guilty!

After spending a lot of time looking at tons of airfryer reviews, I finally settled on the Tefal Actifryer and I couldn’t be happier! It’s possible that you’re considering buying this appliance. But before you do this, it’s possible that you’d like to find out what kind of foods you can cook with this machine. Ever since I bought my Actifryer, I’ve made lots of different foods, all of which are delicious and contain very little oil! Let me give you some examples.

Crispy Golden French Fries

On the day that I bought my Actifryer, I just had to make French fries, which by the way I cannot live without! I combined this with some fried fish to make one of the most delicious meals I’ve had for a while. The French fries turned out great and gave off the crispy golden fried appearance. It certainly looked like it had been deep-fried. The fish was similar as it was crispy and tasted great. The best thing was that the whole process required very little effort and the food was served within 20 minutes!

Chicken Wings

A lot of people who regularly make chicken wings at home will argue that these are the most difficult and probably the most dangerous food to fry. However, cooking these in an airfryer was literally effortless. I had the spices ready and everything was ready to eat within 10 minutes. The end-result was extremely impressive because the chicken wings tasted like they had been made in a restaurant.

Sesame Prawn Toast

In prawn toast, you’re looking at an ultimate snack if you’ve got guests coming over or a party to prepare for. I picked off a sesame prawn toast recipe and made my first few pieces pretty quickly. These only took 10 minutes to make in the airfryer. Obviously, the first few times I made them, the recipe didn’t turn out great but with a little practice, the prawn toast tasted better than ever!

Prawn Crackers

This is another delicious snack that I normally prefer over traditional potato chips. Again, just like the prawn toast, the prawn crackers were quite tricky to make and took quite a bit of time to perfect but at the end, I finally managed to create that typical crunchy taste.

I’ve tried and tested lots of different fried foods in my airfryer but the above 4 are the ones that I’ve managed to master very quickly. The bottom line is that you can fry pretty much anything in this appliance. The best part about this is that your typically calorie-packed fried foods would be healthy and free of oil when fried in an airfryer. This alone was sufficient for me to get my hand on one!

3 of the Best Headphones Under 200 Bucks

When looking for the best headphones under 200 dollars, it is a good idea to do your research properly. To be honest, it is a good idea to do this when you are trying to buy much pretty much any product though, this is especially useful for electronic devices.

There are a couple of essential features that you should look for when picking the best quality pair of headphones. The definition of quality is different for every individual so you will need to focus on this part quite a bit.

The comfort level of a particular pair of headphones is probably one of the most important things for a person. This is because we listen to music quite a lot nowadays. If a set causes discomfort within an hour or two of wearing it, this would definitely seem like a waste of money.

Sound quality is also highly important but this is not usually at the top of the priority list for some people. However, most people who are willing to pay a high amount of money would be looking for audiophile-grade sound quality.

Comfort and sound seem to be the most important factors but there are also some others that are searched for. A decent looking design is often searched for by younger people while noise cancellation can also be beneficial.

Taking all of these areas into account, the following headphones have been picked and reviewed. These will fit the bill for a majority of people.

Reviewing the Best Headphones under 200 Dollars

Audio Technica M50x

This is a pair of headphones that probably provides the best value within the sub-200 dollars price range. The sound quality is highly balanced and neutral while the bass does seem to be boosted to a certain extent. This bass boost shouldn’t be considered as a bad thing though. These headphones are closed back and are available in various colors including a blue brown combination, black and white. The M50x is very light in weight and very comfortable to use for a long time. Along with this, it can be folded and carried with easy. While the M50x is flexible in its structure, this is also true for its use as it can be used for a wide variety of tasks including use as studio or DJ headphones.

Sennheiser HD 598

The HD 598 is an open backed design and this will give you huge sound stage. This makes them ideal for playing games and watching films. The set feels very comfortable due to comfy pads and soft material covering the headband. The HD 598s are also quite light weight which will add to the comfort. In other aspects, we only have the chance to use detachable cables. During the construction, plastic has been used so this makes the build quality decent but not amazing. The sound delivered is balanced, quite neutral and quite impressive in general.

House of Marley Liberate XLBT

The House of Marley Liberate XLBT is a pair of high quality Bluetooth headphones. In all honestly, the XLBTs are probably the best Bluetooth headphones within the sub-200 dollar price range. The product itself looks awesome and this is mostly due to the unique design. One of the main reasons that the design actually looks amazing is the incorporation of actual wood on the outside structure. The overall structure is quite lightweight and this makes the product even more attractive. One thing to note when buying these type of products is the battery life as this is up to 15 hours. This is quite impressive. In terms of the sound quality, the XLBTs sound decent but the bass is quite strong. However, this could be considered to be a positive factor rather than a negative one.

As you can see, the above 3 are just some of the top sets around. These will fit the budget for most serious listeners and will last quite some time too. If you’re looking for extensive reviews and a wider selection then it would be a good idea to check out the top 5 best headphones under $200.

That post discusses each product in detail and provides a lot of helpful advice to follow when buying a new pair of headphones.

Music Fidelity MF-200 Headphones Review

Most good quality headphone brands have been created in the USA or Asia. Europe isn’t really that well known for these accessories but there are a few brands that exist. One of these is Music Fidelity, which is a well known premium brand of headphones in the UK.

Recently, the MF-200 was reviewed so let’s see how this performed. The Music Fidelity MF-200 headphones are quite costly as they retail for over $200. However, the design seems to be quite odd due to the thin frame but bulky pads that closely resemble the tires of a car. To be honest, there’s not much to like about the appearance of this set and the plastic structure makes it even worse. Some parts are constructed with high quality materials but this still isn’t good enough.

During the first look at these headphones, I had the feeling that the comfort levels wouldn’t be great. This was because of a very light headband and a tight looking design. This is exactly what happened as the headphones clamp down quite hard. The pads are also really small and won’t be comfortable on the ears. Even though the initial comfort levels are very poor and the pads are small, the materials used are quite soft so the structure might loosen up a bit over time.

The aspect of sound is probably the most interesting feature as the MF-200s have been fairly disappointing so far. This area is definitely one where the MF-200s perform better. The bass in particular is quite impressive. However, we do hear some harshness in the music when encountering the higher frequencies.

All in all, top marks should be given to Music Fidelity for the effort but they’re not quite there yet. It didn’t make it on our list of the top 3 $200 headphones either, which is a real shame.

V-Moda XS Headphones: Small but Mighty

Before the XS came out, V-Moda promised what hadn’t been achieved in the entire industry before. They promised the release of headphones that are minimum in size but huge in the sound. They promised superb build quality in combination with a small lightweight design. After checking the XS out in detail, V-Moda deserve special praise for satisfying most of these claims.

As you would probably expect, the XS literally means extra small. This indicates what has been mentioned above – that these are quite small headphones. Immediately, you would doubt the comfort and the suitability associated with this set. However, this isn’t true at all. Even though, this set is small, it isn’t tiny and generally fits quite well. One special feature is that for a little bit of extra money, you can get any logo or writing engraved on the headphones and this might be worth doing if you want to add a personal touch.

The overall structure of the XS is quite impressive with nicely fitting pads that are very soft too. The entire frame can be folded for portability too.

The sound is very impressive on these V-Moda XS headphones and as expected, great emphasis has been placed on the the bass. Unfortunately, this is quite excessive and has a negative effect on the rest of the sound. The accuracy is certainly one part that is affected. All of these issues mean that the XS is absolutely amazing from a design perspective but just falls short when it comes to the sound quality.

While we liked them, they weren’t quite as good as the Music Fidelity MF-200 Headphones that we review here. They’re roughly the same price as well so you might want to opt for those instead.

The Best Noise Cancelling Headphones

A pair of noise cancelling headphones is an ideal companion for people who struggle during long journeys. Whether you’re travelling by air or by road, the noise of the engine and other sources can be highly problematic. The best thing to do in this situation is to buy a pair of headphones that hold an active noise cancellation setting. When turned out, this feature will allow the user to be at ease as pretty much every kind of external noise will be blocked. Usually we can turn the volume up to the highest setting in order to do the same thing. However, this is really uncomfortable as well as terrible for the health of your ears. Buying a proper noise cancelling pair of headphones will block out the sound while producing clear sound quality at normal volumes.

On that not, here are some headphones that are affordable and hold the noise cancelling feature.

(1/3) Sennheiser PXC 250-II

A very affordable set, the PXC 250-II is a light headphone that fits on the ears. It can also collapse and is portable enough to be carried on a journey. The sound is really good and fairly accurate but the noise cancellation feature requires one AAA battery that will last for quite some time.

(2/3) Audio-Technica ACN70

Another pair of headphones under 200 bucks, the ANC70 has a structure that is quite light weight. This set is fairly comfortable and sound quite good too. The noise cancellation effect is highly effective, especially if you’re bothered by engine sound. However, it doesn’t work that well against people conversing around you.

(3/3) Bose QuietComfort 25

The full size pair of over-ear headphones is very well known for its comfort and noise cancelling effect. To be fair, these are the problems that were targeted when the QC25 was being developed and this is confirmed by the name of the product.

Noise cancelling headphones can make a huge difference to your music listening experience

Simply put, no other pair of headphones will be able to compete against this product if the noise cancellation was the main feature being looked at. This is passive and works highly effectively. It has decent sound too but you will have to spend quite a bit to get your hands on the QC25.

Headphones that are Better than Beats!

It hasn’t been long since Beats was created. Since then it has undergone massive growth to become the most sought after headphones brand in the world. As most of you will be aware they were bought over by Apple in a $3 billion deal. We already knew that their headphones are extremely pricey and they don’t compare well against some of the other popular yet cheaper headphones in the same market. In consequence, we look at 3 pairs of headphones that easily possess better quality when compared to Beats by Dre headphones.

Beats by Dre headphones are very overpriced.

(1/3) Sennheiser HD 558

Costing just $180, the Sennheiser HD 558 is one of the better sound quality headphones available. This is definitely the case if you’re only looking at the sub-200 dollar budget, which Beats would fail to make.

(2/3) Grado SR60i

This set is available for just $79 and its qualities are surprising when compared with much higher costing Beats headphones. Grado is a big brand and even though the SR60i is made for beginners, it possesses qualities which far surpass this level.

(3/3) Sennheiser HD-25-1 II

These Sennheisers just about hit the 200 dollar mark. However, their overall quality makes them perfect for use in the studio when compared to Beats headphones. One of their standout features is the sound isolation which performs superbly even when compared to much more expensive sets.

If we search hard enough, we will easily be able to find hundreds of headphone sets that perform way better than any Beats. Sadly, buying Beats is more about status rather than enjoying true music quality.
